ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use sewing machine
• Eye for detail and quality
• Use of scissors to cut sweatbands with reeds, hat bands, or strings
• Read work order (work ticket) accurately
• Work independently and as a team, interpersonal skills

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all Employment Handbook policies and procedures.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
• Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1-2 years relative experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read and write English.
• Bilingual Sinhala/Tamil

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral form.

PLANNING/ORGANIZATION:

• Organized workstation to ensure completion of job tasks in timely manner.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL  DEMANDS:

• Lifting up to 15 kgs occasionally 1-2 hours
• Sitting constantly 6-8 hours
• Simple grasping constantly 6-8 hours
• Reaching at or below shoulder level constantly 6-8 hours

INTANGIBLE SKILLS SET:

• Ability to know next step in process and move forward

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

• 8 hours per day Monday through Friday
• 8am until 6pm Monday-Friday
