Fabric Cutter / Pattern Maker

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, who can work independently, stays on schedule, and is very detail oriented.

Prior sewing/pattern experience not required. General math skills needed, but we are happy to train you in our best practices!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize, place & mark patterns on fabric based on fabric specification and product instructions.
• Cut fabric using scissors or power cutting tools, as marked in the layout process.
• Gather & label cut pieces prior to being sewn.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently with a high level of detail.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all Employment Handbook policies and procedures.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
• Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED (general education degree) preferred
• OR 2 years relative experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read and write
• Bilingual a plus

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral form

PLANNING/ORGANIZATION:

• Organized workstation to ensure completion of job tasks in timely manner.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

• Lifting up to 15-25 kgs occasionally

• Standing for extended periods

INTANGIBLE SKILLS SET:

• Ability to know next step in process and move forward

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

• 8 hours per day Monday through Friday
• 8am until 6pm Monday-Friday
